Obama closed down our local car dealership even though it was making money "to spread the pain around". There's no comparison between him and Trump on this or on much else either

I remember that & the policy was highly questionable, to say the least. But on the issue I raised, there is a direct comparison to make, in both policy & rhetoric.
-
I also don't think there's much of a comparison between spending a Trillion on "shovel ready jobs" that never appear and solar panel subsidies for companies that immediately go under vs actually building pipelines, roads, bridges, etc. Reality matters, results matter
-
If Trump gets results than you'll be right on this. Right now we don't know what the results will be.
-
It would be impossible to waste it more completely than Obama did so I'll take my chances on saying Trump will do better
-
And I'm not criticizing that. But I want to be clear here what the criticism is & what it isn't.
-
The US is selling oil to the Middle East today, in Trump's second year. I just think there are real differences in Trump's results on infrastructure already that you're overlooking to make a hypothetical argument
-
There are real potential differences. You & agree on a lot. I was making one specific comparison which I think it's interesting & holds up.

Huge difference between infrastructure spending as a stimulus for a depressed economy and the private partnership model that I expect we will see out of the gang that can’t shoot straight.
-
Possibly. Depends on what policy emerges because it will still require billions in public money. But possibly.

Yet Obama gave billions to the terrorist regime Iran. These billions could have been invested into our infrastructure. Oh wait, where did the stimulus money go? CEO pockets before they went bankrupt

I wonder what the new Scandal will be to blow up infrastructure week, again. Deja vu.
