The dishonesty of some on the right is unbelievable. They touted the Wells Fargo bonuses/raises a few weeks ago, but now WF will close 800 branches, and all you hear is crickets from these dishonest partisans (example @guypbenson @AG_Conservative)

Partisans going to partisan. But it's possible A) Tax bill didn't help, B) W/out tax bill you'd have closures & no bonsuses C) Ideology colors interpretation but one is being honest as they see it. Disclosure: You're not going to convince me

It's like with the stock market and unemployment. If you're going to credit trump when they're good (and by the way, they've simply been following a trajectory since obama), then it would be dishonest to shield him from any blame when they're bad. Just as an example.

It’s nothing like that. Trying to blame a tax reform bill for clearly unrelated business decisions is very different than citing companies themselves crediting that reform for certain actions.

Replying to @AG_Conservative @gagz_gaming and
There have been hundreds of companies that have taken similar actions and cited tax reform. Trying to hound each one to find other negative business decisions to justify conspiratorial view that they are lying and reform didn’t have positive impact is dishonest & silly.

‘Desperate’ is the word. Their hyperbolic lies are exposed, so they’re chasing conspiracies.

I've long argued that corporate tax reform might have positive impacts we're seeing. But it's possible people hold counter-views, looking at impact differently, because of philosophy, as opposed to being willfully dishonest.

David, I generally agree w corporate tax cuts. And had they been coupled w Dem demands (i.e. No tax cuts for top rate, no estate tax reform, etc) I could have supported them. Obama wanted to reduce them as well. Just not to 21%. But crediting it for every positive news is silly

These are fair points of disagreement. But I still think it's fair to say that so far, the bill is having a positive impact on some fronts. Maybe not all - maybe some hyped, maybe not enough. But some of this appears legit.

Won't disagree with you there. Gop promised incredible growth. We'll see on 2019 and 2020 whether their promises materialized.
