The administration appears w/out a strategy re Iran. =>https://twitter.com/sarahcwestwood/status/948565413365010433 …
Put that way, it sounds like the semblance of a strategy. It would be helpful if the administration was that clear.

I actually watched
#SarahSanders in her press conference yesterday (at the gym) and she put it exactly that way. More than once. Some reporter asked again, seemingly thinking these goals are not enough. -
That's another matter. The admin's strategy is open to debate, as is any strategy of any admin.

Naturally it's open to debate, so let's debate the actual strategy, not impose regime change. That is for people of
#Iran -
whether or not we should encourage regime change, or treat regime change as they only viable solution for change in Iran, is a part of that debate.
-
Obviously demanding end of funding terrorism (withdrawal from ME would have to be negotiated) and granting human rights (end of brutal public executions?) would require regime change. Possibly replacement. Possibly negotiation with Europe, Russia would help.

The issue is, would the regime agree to these two goals unless it was replaced? Second issue, would a new regime be hardliners? I see this as encouraging the moderates to yield to Iran people. I notice today their Labor minister will discuss concerns with the protestors. PROGRESS
