Republicans who vote for the Trump agenda more than 95% of the time, for instance. =>https://twitter.com/jeneps/status/919961681324855297 …
Trump has been slower to appoint than his predecessors. I've heard complaints about this from Trump supporters on the Hill.

When Obama got elected, McConnell & Reid made a deal to get his nominees through in a timely manner in return for GOP amendments on bills
-
Apples & Oranges. Obama was elected w/ more support than Trump. GOP was deeper minority but still had the 60-vote filibuster for noms.
-
the part that's apples and oranges is that McConnell doesn't care about staffing Trump's govt now

We'll never agree. But enjoy our sparring as always.

I'm not trying to score a point, i'm seriously asking. What should Trump be doing to make the Senate vote on his nominees?
-
I can give you an answer that applies more to everything across the board.
-
ok go ahead. a min ago you said Trump was nominating too slow but that clearly isn't the case with judges, right?
-
There were complaints about slow pace of judges until recently. I fielded questions about this in interviews.

at less than half the rate of Obama's or GWB's nominees. That is no one's fault but the Senate, & alot of it is McConnell
-
I think it's more complicated than that & I think POTUS shares responsibility for inaction. But I recognize the frustration. Shared by many
-
how does POTUS share responsibility for rate of approval of those he has nominated though?

McConnell controls vacation time, he controls what comes to the floor, etc. He could speed this up if he wanted to, & he doesn't want to
