Look fwd to Republicans protesting a president's patriotism demands when Prez Sanders demands biz to do patriotic duty & pay a living wage
No, they won't. They'll only go up as far high as the market will bear.

Wages will increase naturally if you limit the supply of labor
-
But consumers won't be able to pay the prices requires to sustain those wages. The re-alignment would not be one to one.
-
To think that U.S. must keep wages flat to do well is crazy! If Americans are making more money, they'll buy the products that are of use
-
Your points are well made we just see it differently. I could be wrong. But if wages go up, prices go up.
-
Last month, wages +2.9%, PCE (prices) +1.4%. Other countries do it. Israel. Japan. Swiss. Goal is increase median income, not corp profits
-
Their economies are smaller than ours. And our economy has always been more dynamic and innovative (maybe w/ exception of Israel)
-
Japan is a rather large economy. On a GDP per capita basis, its doing just fine. Third world immigration is not source of innovation
-
Japan's economy has been stagnant for years, generally speaking. Not a good comparison.

But they will go up.
-
But people will still have trouble affording goods because of price hikes because of higher labor costs.
-
It's all pendulum. And over past 50 years, particularly past 25 (my party is in large part to blame), pendulum shifted too much to capital
-
Still disagree on broad point but good talk. Gotta go write. Not ditching.
-
No problem. Thanks for convo. Have a good one

The market will increase them very much so if capital quits cheating by bringing in an endless supply of labor
