On the flip side, voting to repeal w/out a replacement settled on allows Democrats to define what that replacement'll be on their terms.
Doesn't work on health care. Too big, too complicated, too big a spotlight.

So: -GOP can only work w/ Dems if "repeal 1st" passes -Ds can't support repeal &the solution is "repeal 1st", THEN work together?!
-
There will be no working together because of the repeal issue - neither side will budget from it.
-
On that, we agree. I just don't see how the Dems making the first compromise helps their position. Like, at all.
-
It wouldn't. Both sides have no reason to compromise. This issue is political kryptonite w/ their bases.
-
This started w/ stmt that Dems shd support repeal to be in better negot'g posit'n for replace. Dems grab kryptonite & they'll get stronger?
-
No I never said that. Maybe I wasn't clear, which is my fault.
-
140 chars, man. "Clarity dies in brevity". Anyway, thx for making time. Feel like DMing for more in-depth chat? (I'm underemployed anyway)
-
Sure. Might take me a while to get back to you
