More (apparent) acknowledgement that Putin meddled =>https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/879317636164841474 …
I've never posited election was thrown or hacked. But Putin did meddle hoping to benefit Trump. That is clear. Doesn't delegitimize results

did Trump deny Russia meddling? You seem to imply he did.
-
Until the last few days, either denied or said 'maybe.'
-
Didn't Trump (half jokingly) publicly encourage Russians to leak more DNC emails? He knew
-
He never acknowledged it w/out caveats the way other Republicans I talk to did & continue to do (Rs like Nunes & Cotton.)
-
nunes & cotton r principled. Trump is pragmatic. He rarely cedes a pt unless it gives him advantage
-
I think that's part of the problem, because he views it as "his" advantage & not "U.S." advantage. IMO instinct v. deliberate.
-
Maybe. I'm giving him benefit of doubt that he IS operating in country's best interest which don't conflict w/his. Until I see otherwise
-
Fair enough. I'll stipulate. But actions & results matter more than motivations -- just my view. Appreciate yours.
