I live in deep Trump country and I'm frustrated by insistence that Trump voters were economically motivated. they largely weren't.

the Trump voters I interact with and overhear every day were motivated by tribalism and fox stoked anger. left lacks emotional resonance.

They exist. But there are plenty others that felt economically insecure/stagnant. Trump spoke to that - at least better than other Rs.
