Forcing 60 votes doesn't mean eight Dems won't join the GOP to overcome a 60-vote filibuster. =>https://twitter.com/hughhewitt/status/844272537911517184 …

right, but what I’m saying is, if it becomes known to an institutionalist like McCain that if they refuse to vote for the
-
nuclear option, Ds will provide enough votes for cloture after 2 weeks of debate, or a month of debate, etc, will they pull
-
the trigger? Only takes 3 defections to kill the nuclear option.
-
Post-Reid nuclear, they will get the votes. I'd bet almost everything I own.
-
I think that’s true if senators believe that cloture isn’t possible. If cloture is possible, they won’t get the votes.
-
To be clear, I think MM will give cloture time to play out. But at some point he'll pull the plug.
-
all I’m saying is that I don’t he’s the one who sets the timeline. It’s when will Cochran, McCain, & any other old bull left
-
decide that they’ve had enough. Collins is voting no regardless. So it comes down to Murkowski & the old bulls.
