There's a case to make that intervening in Syria might have stopped the refugee crisis + blunted expansion of Russian influence in Mid East.

You could probably replace "Iraq" w/ any war to have that discussion. Afghanistan is the "good" war & complexities abound.

Great point. Rationale discussion is needed about complexities of going to war or not, yet what we often get is the opposite.
