@mcbridetd The prez is on valid legal ground re ACA. But what he *said* to justify immigration undermines ACA actions. That's my point.
@MarkP21 Obama said had congress acted on immigration, following it w/ exec action would be shaky cuz Congress outlined intent in law

@DavidMDrucker I didn't hear him say that. If he did, it was sloppy language. Can u please point to a link? -
@MarkP21 I will send link in a bit. It was sloppy - and of course issue w/ immigration is there is no law. -
@DavidMDrucker i heard when he said "its similar". it doesn't suggest the other actions are less lawful; O was saying they are similar. -
@MarkP21 Key quote: "“I’m not sure that argues in favor" - in response to 'But GHWB acted after Congress passed a law.' -
@DavidMDrucker while in#ACA case, Congress did X, and POTUS did a, b, c which are all implementing X. It's just two very different things. -
@MarkP21 We disagree but appreciate your thoughtfulness…I like your previous comment: Sloppy wording. Didn't mean what he said, I assume. -
@DavidMDrucker likewise. I think O is on similar legal grounds as Reagan and Bush on immigration & ts irrelevant to#ACA regs.
