POTUS has a hard time with this when he’s in some way implicated l, either by supporters or otherwise. His response is usually pretty conventional when that’s not the case. =>https://twitter.com/alexburnsnyt/status/1055435891789967360 …
implicated as in,involved. It’s about how he views. POTUS appears sensitive to criticism his rhetoric (ie “enemy/people”) is driver of these acts, & he blames targets. This is NOT what we see from him after mass shootings, where his response is morally clear & directed at perps

I believe saying the media contributes to atmosphere is needed, because I believe they are. In this strange time we can’t afford to let their rhetoric delegitimizing Trump stand unchecked.

Have you ever considered that Trump delegitimizes himself? He lies constantly (and demonstrably), he’s divisive, he talks about draining the swamp but hires guys like Pruitt, Ross, Zinke, Mnunchin who have clear ethics violations - and yet stands by each of them. And so it goes.
-
Give me links to specific instances. Reception for divisiveness. Some of it is probably his management style; not conventional, not unheard of. The rest is due to Dems, media, and establishment - who are apoplectic that he listens to citizens more than them - generating it.
