The WSJ/NBC poll, to me, clarifies there is Kavanaugh effect of sorts, & it has been net positive for Republicans. Did it juice Democrats? Yes. But they didn’t need any more enthusiasm - Rs did, & it could make difference in competitive lean R House seats, never mind Senate.

The Kavanaugh effect is a lazy media narrative. Elections always tighten as the election date nears. But if you want to hone the argument. It's really about White Christian America's fight for control. And the Kavanaugh fight has been spun to WCA as an attack on them.

Or it might just be decent people rejecting the methods of the radical left not being able to accept the consequences of losing an election. Your suggestion is poppycock

Which part is poppycock? That elections always tighten as election day nears? Or that the biggest contingency of Trump voters are White Christian Americans who are fearful of losing long standing control of US?

The part where you claim it was spun into an attack on WCA. All races and religions should take offense at the treatment he received

Agreed!! She was treated terribly and the @GOP wears that stain. They are now officially anti-woman.

It’s amazing how bad political reporters are. The Dem lead on the generic ballot expanded among LVs in this poll. It is +2 over the RV number. If you’re arguing Kavanaugh Effect, you’d argue it is hurting Republicans. Look it’s not rocket science- it’s in this same poll!

Also, the theory that like Dem enthusiasm was already capped out pre-Kavanaugh doesn't make sense. Only 40-45% of the eligible voters typically vote in the midterms. That's quite low! You can never have enough enthusiasm. You're never really near the point of diminishing returns.

Based on demo breakdowns, there was zero boost for Reps among educated whites. Quite the opposite. And these voters define the swing suburban districts.

There is no Kavanaugh effect. Those who would be motivated by his lies and anger were already committed Trumpanzees who were already going to vote red against their best interests.

Exactly, GOP voters are old and they vote the way they do everything, unthinkingly and out of habit.

Disagree. Yes, Dems were already juiced up. But Republicans are dead wrong if they thing Kavanaugh will blow over. Never seen women more pissed off.

McConnell’s foolish talk on entitlements has been enabled Red State Senate Democrats to pivot away Kavanaugh. Immigrant caravan is Trumps pivot.

and again the dynamic where the Dems do better with Likely Voters than Registered voters is also demonstrated in Florida. Dems are stoked to vote. Polls can't capture turnout and I think that is where the true blue wave will be demonstrated.
