Guess what? Voters are pretty sophisticated and most that I interview talk in actual complete sentences. It's amazing the quotes I get if I pound the pavement and ask enough questions of enough voters.
Actually, that is among the arguments being made. That there's no way these voters exist because there's no way voters would say these things. But knock yourself out.

Please cite the credible people saying that it's an issue that real people don't talk like that opposed to those real people who talk extremely similarly to how Zito writes.
-
That's part of the argument and you know it. But enjoy yourself.
-
I'm shocked someone defending Zito has problems with citation. Absolutely shocked. Maybe you can join her on her next rust belt quest interviewing strawmen in cornfields.

The argument is that the quotes aren't real because they're uncanny repetitions of Zito's own preferred phrases and beliefs. This argument is bolstered by the combined insistence that there are receipts, refusal to show them, and absolute silence from anyone who could confirm.
-
I disagree on so many levels. But all we're going to do is engage in a circular argument, and I just don't see the point in discussing.
-
Don't give up on constructive engagement! There are a couple of discrete issues we can hash out. 1. Zito claims a photog accompanied her on most of these trips. Can that photog confirm the quotes? 2. Did Zito in fact record all or most intvws. as she claims?

Many Americans all over the country speak in a vernacular peculiar to Western Pennsylvania, and use a particular set of uncommon words. How is it Salena's fault if she continues to run into them?

Dave, old friend, she had a quote by a voter she identified as an independent. Then, after colleagues dug, she admitted the voter was a Republican. Then, further scrutiny revealed the voter was a Republican Party officer, which explained the talking points. When I...

Pointed out that a Republican Party officer is qualitatively different from an independent and a regular Republican, she blocked me.

Did Dave just block you?
-
Nope. Still following. Dave and I both used to write for the same newspaper; “The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin in Ontario California.
