What's wrong with it? She expressed how deeply sorry she is to the family for their loss and then said WE have remember we need an effective immigration system.

She said she was sorry "but" and then shifted to what she sees as the problem w/ immigration. Was insensitive & dismissive. There's a way to do this. Should have said "in fact" POTUS not keeping his eye on ball w/ real security issues and reinforced how this is a problem.

I respectfully disagree. I don't think it comes off as insensitive and dismissive. I also see lies spread out on Twitter by certain Republicans that allege Warren said "THEY" (i.e., the family) have to remember bla bla bla." So despicable. Thank you for responding.
-
I agree w/ you on that, which is why I didn't RT any of that but offered my own specific analysis. Appreciate your thoughts.

Thank you David. Always a pleasure to engage with you, even when we don't see completely eye-to-eye.

Same here. Helps me learn.

One thing that would be REALLY helpful is if non-left journalists (like yourself) would specifically call out lies spread about this quote. I understand that one of the people is Kennedy's Communications Director, and journalists want to preserve relationships, but still.
-
Of course it's totally up to you, but even privately telling them that it's not cool would be great. Thank you again for engaging. :)
