Yeah. He ran a poor campaign, but he was also outflanked on the Trump front. Meanwhile, I was struck by how the Democrats, in their competitive statewide races, keep nominating the most establishment, ordinary center-left types in the Midwest. Evers, Whitmer, and Walz.

I get why the GOP has focused so much on AOC. It's because the Democrats, 90% of the time, are actually nominating established candidates who come across as very credible. AOC thus offers a rarer opportunity, and an unrepresentative one, to portray the Dems as nuts.
