Of course Putin wanted Trump - he saw Trump as a fellow nationalist. He liked Trump's rhetoric as it relates to foreign policy. Some Trump admin policies have been tougher on Russia than the Obama admin, but they should stop fighting what is so obvious. =>https://twitter.com/jimsciutto/status/1019963780283871234 …

He didn't have to see it in Helsinki. Putin got the message. Several times. He bombed the sh*t out of 200 Russians in Syria, bitch-slapped Merkel on the pipeline, opened up Anwar & all of domestic energy production, armed the Ukrainians... on & on. Trump's greatest strength 1 /

is also his weakness-he's unpredictable. If only for Trump's rational policy to domestic energy production, Putin knows he's screwed, as Russia is basically a gas station w/an army. It's all he's got. The paradigm has changed. The power dynamic has shifted. Trump wins. 2/2

We just disagree, especially on the value of Trump's unpredictability. But I prefer that you be right and I be wrong.

Fair enuf, but I know I wouldn't want to be his enemy. He has a very vengeful streak and if I'm Putin or Xi or Rocket Man, his "word" to stop "war games" or make nice on this or that won't mean much if I insult his hair or something. Not saying it's good or bad - just that it is.
