If Trump’s trade war spreads to cars, the biggest loser might not be China, Europe or even Detroit. It might be Spartanburg, South Carolina, the U.S. home of the country’s biggest auto exporter, BMW.

Short term. Buy American! What do you mean by “might not”? Are you opposed to ‘fair’ trade? What we currently have on the books, isn’t fair & US loosing.

These cars, manufactured in Spartanburg, are American made. And American brands happen to be manufactured w/ some level of foreign parts (and Chrysler is owned by Fiat)

Yes, they are for a German owned company. The rest is mere speculation from those opposed to fair trade. The deals not done and all the fear mongering is merely once again scaring hard working Americans who this Administration supports!

Look it might all work out wine and roses but there is also a danger it will not and some negative impacts also being felt now, and that should not be dismissed either.

Their hiring! What negatives are being felt? It’s a luxury vehicle! It’s not like the workers can already afford to buy a BMW in US & those who can, we’ll pay a little more. Most are shipped overseas & to be honest, it’s long over due that they should pay more. You can’t skip on
