Shouldn't Democrats welcome a vote on Kennedy's replacement before the election and hope the issue dissipates as a motivator for GOP voters?

So by that reasoning let’s let the Court tilt to the far right with a new justice just to win one election. Nah. I don’t want my marriage to be up for review by a religious bigoted Court. We’ve been together 24 years and married for 3 years and our marriage is not up for review

Not if we have a chance to block it with a huge blue wave - this is a life changing appointment for many - may be worth rolling the dice - not a good spot to be in

I anticipate a huge turnout in midtetm voting from both sides but dens will have to come out 2x or 3x to secure voted needed to take back the house AND SENATE.

Yep - not to mention the Russian assistance that the Gov doesn’t seem to ever mention nor have a plan for when we know it’s happening - instead Donnie wants to have a meeting with the Autocrat whom is actively attacking our democracy - bad dream

It’s a gamble, but the pressure of this could be the catalyst to get the Senate to 60 Rep.; I think Trump wants 60 more than a conservative Justice. Again a major gamble, but would make for some good TV till November. 🤔 I think our POTUS has experience in both.

This will be a really hard nomination to get through before the mid terms IMO, my thoughts are that not ever single Republican just votes to confirm- especially quickly.

No.(?) Just because it's the most important issue to 21% of voters, and of those 56% supported Trump, I'm betting they'll rally around another single-issue issue. Maybe also extra enthusiasm over Roe potential

Wont it be worse if more Republican Senators are elected though? The SCOTUS issue is why many GOP who had misgivings about Trump voted for him anyway. Like Hillary being robbed, better it happened sooner than in the census year. Lose this battle now, win the war 2020.

Not really too excited about going backwards in history. I'm done standing in a kitchen baking pies! GOP has an agenda to capitalize on their luck in the last stolen election before its too late. Then all the old crooks will pay themselves on the back retire &reap the benefits.
