GOP source tells me House Rs aren't brimming w/ confidence that POTUS won't change his mind on compromise #immigration bill. "He wasn't stellar in the mtg...Ticked off some w/ his jab at Mark Sanford." =>https://twitter.com/DavidMDrucker/status/1009215079626297345 …
Maybe. But sometimes he makes agreements and then changes his mind and so they don't know what the heck he wants.

Just in: “But whether Trump would sign a narrower bill will depend on the final product, according to the official. Lawmakers are weighing a number of stand-alone measures aimed at ending family separations.” It’s Congressional bills that keep changing, not Trump.

No, they don't. The House bills haven't changed. The Senate bill is still being crafted. The concern is that he will say he supports a particular bill then change his mind. Happens all the time.

By the way, you are wrong about the House bills. Check out the news regarding the dispute between Meadows and Ryan. The bills are in flux. Trump not to blame.
-
Disagreements emerged, yes. I've never said these guys could agree on immigration. But to absolve Trump of responsibility here is simply wrong. He's part of the problem - not on everything - but in this regard.
-
Immigration was a train wreck long before Trump and he is actually trying to fix it. He deserves most the credit for bringing solutions, not creating problems.

Maybe but Trump has made it clear what he wants on immigration. The immigration bills in Congress have been all over the place.
