Shouldn't merge the efforts. There's an immigration bill in the House and an Immigrant Family Separation/Adjudication bill coming in the Senate. Former is complicated, latter is not. A GOP Senate cannot pass the Feinstein bill. The House would never even bring it up because even Rs that oppose family separations would find it objectionable on policy.

That's because Dems had to pretend to care about border security even though they really didn't. R's had to keep the cheap labor coming in while pretending that's not what they were doing.
