I disagree. He's under no obligation to comment on a vile impulse tweet of a retread sitcom start on an ex-president's friend. He's PERFECTLY within his rights to take issue w/a PRE-SCRIPTED, PRE-TAPED, PRE-APPROVED BY TBS FOR AIR "feckless c*nt" remark on HIS DAUGHTER.

He's under no obligation to comment on anything ever but if he's going to comment on one, he would have more cred if he commented on both. This way it looks political, which I suspect it is & which I suspect is his goal.
-
Please remember result of George W. Bush's high road.
-
He took it waaaaaaaay too far. He just laid down and let them pummel him. Somewhere between GWB and DJT is the sweet spot.
-
One can disagree w/ this take but it’s perfectly reasonable.

Low ratings and no talent Samantha Bee attacked his daughter. Every good Dad would fight back.

See Harry Truman.

Perhaps. But I note two important points: 1) It still has plenty of cred (unless you are using it to minimize) 2) It was aimed at his daughter. That might just change the way he looks at it. But hey, CNN isn't in the business of balanced reporting...or thought it seems...
-
Check my TL, my analysis is hardly one-sided. ... I understand why criticism of his daughter would be particularly troubling to him but he's president & she's a public figure. Not insignificant facts.
-
TL? I'm willing to read/look deeper but I don't know what you mean by this. Can you elaborate on what TL is please?

Without Roseanne saying a word, his criticism of another's lack of civility should lacks cred when he fails at it. And Ivanka is no more special than any other woman, except to her daddy. Cry me a river.
-
You seem to be successfully crying your own river. I won't attend your pity party.
-
Boo-hoo, then why'd you feel the need to reply? Cause crass jackass behavior like yours is politics today and a sad sorry state of affairs it is...but let America burn. Its people deserve it.

You're missing point. It's built in. if they fire Rosanne, fire Samantha Bee. Equal treatment for equal behavior.
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

He won't. I am convinced our President is a racist. I don't know how feel about me saying that in your thread, but I've tried to hold back from saying it. But if it walks like a duck...
-
The only other reasonable explanation is that he is okay with anti-black & POC racism and/or 2 willing to pander to ensure he keeps his 30% base (cult) of supporters, most of whom aren’t squeamish about being called what they are (bigots, racists & white supremacists)
