How is Trump's "base" defined? People of wealth voted for him too. Are they all racist?

No of course not. I have never suggested anything close to this.
-
But how is Trump's base defined? Who is Trump seeking solidarity with? HRC won the majority of votes of those earning less than $50K. Trump won the majority of all other income brackets. How is "the base" defined these days?
-
base is shorthand for voters loyal to Trump (not necessarily the GOP) that cut across income/class, etc.
-
POTUS has a 42% approval rating - not great, despite the "big, beautiful tax cut." Despite removing the individual mandate from ACA. Despite his "forceful" foreign policy moments. His base seems to have disproportionate power for a group that seems a bit small.
-
The base of any party is always smaller than the party overall but always wields power because they are the committed voters who show up and volunteer, etc. This is nothing new.
-
As an observer and news media consumer, I see a majority party so in need of Trump's base that they enable & support truly corrupt behavior done by POTUS. It is truly baffling to see GOP work so hard to appease & encourage racist and ignorant voters.

No comment on abc having commercials with a sniper scopes aimed at the White House during a presidential interview Dave?
-
What's your point? I wasn't aware of it No. 1 but I'd want to see the commercials before I commented on them.
