People can commit bad acts/act badly, but speaking for myself, I don’t like to brand people “bad human beings.” I’m not perfect and it’s not my place to judge.

I don’t see a problem with acknowledging the human side of the legal profession - it’s salutary, actually - or praising brilliant lawyers & judges (again, unaware at the time of any alleged misconduct).
