I've got no particular dog in the fight, but...in the interests of fairness, appropriate procedure, etc., it's ridiculous that Sen. Feinstein does this now. If the allegations are serious, the matter should have been immediately referred to appropriate authorities.

Which of course raises the question of "why now?", especially as it potentially has significant negative effects for Judge Kavanaugh personally, as well as the negative effects of further increasing the bitter partisanship of our politics.
