I think this is a fair point, though one wonders what respect

We can argue about what should have happened in Bush v. Gore, but I absolutely agree with @JosephPatrice that it was terrible for the standing of #SCOTUS (& you can see this in the Court's approval ratings). But I also agree re: the difficulty of going back.
