Caveat in light of @courtneymilan's tweets from the other day: I'm just analyzing perjury claims based on evidence; I can't claim to be a good judge of character or to have deep personal knowledge of Kavanaugh (haven't "seen into his soul" a la Bush/Putin).

If 1 applies the standard perjury definition of knowingly testifying untruthfully on a material matter, it is a stretch to call it true perjury, although questioning of his character for the office seems fair.
