Agreed. I told my class tonight that Kavanugh is more polished than Roberts, yet manages to offer substantive answers. #scotus https://twitter.com/DavidLat/status/1037540241337401346 …

Sorry, just to clarify, this was part of a thread quoting
@JanCBS's book comparing ALITO to Roberts. (Personally I prefer Kavanaugh to Roberts too, but I don't think Kavanaugh is as polished; I think Kavanaugh has better substance & Roberts was too perfect.)2 replies 1 retweet 3 likes -

How would you compare Gorsuch to the other three (Kavanaugh, Roberts, and Alito)?

IMHO, Gorsuch was the weakest of the four. On substance,
@AmyKlobuchar scored points off him on that mid-hearing#SCOTUS reversal in that IDEA case, and on style, he came across as a bit defensive and peevish.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

Appreciate the answer. I forgot about that Klobuchar exchange. Honestly feels like this hearing -- so far -- has been more substantive than the Gorsuch hearings. I personally think Gorsuch is more polished than Kavanaugh though.

I dunno.... I felt like Gorsuch spent half the hearing giving these big sighs, prefacing every comment with a "with respect," and not hiding how annoyed he was with the (admittedly often pointless) questions of the senators.
