Their contribution recognized and appreciated, impossible without them. Still more than a little impressive, even for an accomplished Circuit Judge. All have 4 clerks, very few write opinions the length and incisiveness of Kavanaugh's.

Yes, but I'd argue that the workload of clerks in different chambers varies enormously. A lot of the lengthy Kavanaugh opinions (and especially CFPB) seem directly aimed at casebooks: lots of space devoted to straightforward doctrinal development, relatively little novel analysis
