You should also note what a big win this is for lobbying clients of @CovingtonLLP -- how many other lobbying shots have a literal registered lobbyist Senator! (okay, he'll technically de-register for this stint...)

Kyl's career: lobbyist, Senator, lobbyist, Senator.. what's next in the pattern? https://www.opensecrets.org/revolving/rev_summary.php?id=77747 … My 4 year old can do sequencing questions that are more difficult than this one....

Well, in fairness, he is one very smart four-year-old!

You're just playing "political baseball" until Kavanaugh invalidates your marriage, David. Don't be surprised when they come for you.
-
Maybe he's just making an objective statement regarding the proceedings that didn't merit your ugly appeal to fear.
-
Maybe you're just butthurt that I'm reminding people of the real-world stakes and that Cilizza'ing the news is a detriment to society. I'll bet you money on Kavanaugh nuking David's marriage (unless the court gets packed by a dem president or there's a mass die-off of justices).
-
Just like how I was wrong about how Trump's DHS/ICE people wouldn't start rounding up brown people, trying to de-naturalize citizens, and try to strip citizens born in the U.S. But you're right, there's no reason for saying this will end badly . . .

McCain would have voted for him. This doesn’t have the drama
-
Why do you think McCain would have voted to confirm Kavanaugh? Just asking.
-
Senator McCain was a Republican, despite occasional "maverick" moments, and he issued a very favorable statement after Judge Kavanaugh was announced as nominee:https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/congress/john-mccain-praises-supreme-court-nominee-brett-kavanaugh …

The guy working for the White House to advance Kavanaugh’s nomination gets to vote on it. I’m sure he’s kept an open mind.
