    1. I know it’s more fun to talk about intemperate blogging and ghost hunting, but here’s a fact: of Trump’s 26 confirmed appellate judges, 23 (88 percent) were rated “well qualified” by the left-leaning @abaesq. #scotus #appellatetwitterhttps://twitter.com/Kel_Varnsen__/status/1034821493639794689 …

Or they could, you know, focus on who has the right experience, acumen, and faithfulness to rule of law instead of as a game. Hot take, I know.

        2. The other two were rated “qualified,” and as for Judge Grasz, see @EdWhelanEPPC (and others) about why the NQ was unjustified. #scotus #AppellateTwitter

        3. No, judicial nominations are not a game - but if you want to see them that way, then the left needs to play better. Courts and judges matter.

My original tweet was also just about circuit nominees - but this study is interesting, especially the part about reversal rates - thanks for sharing it.

"left-leaning"? For a second, I thought you were going to post something objective. How many were "not qualified"?

The ABA rated at least four of Trump's judicial nominees as "unqualified." You're counting only the one who was confirmed regardless.

Appellate or circuit judges, not trial or district judges. My statement went to appellate/circuit judges (which the @WhiteHouse controls more than trial/district judges).

What does it indicate that 23 of 26 appellate judges were rated "well-qualified" by the "left-leaning" ABA? Trying to see where you're going here.

What's your reasoning for saying @ABAesq is left leaning? I honestly have no idea where they go and I'm wondering.

        Lawyers generally lean left

I mean, in a sense you could call the rule of law a great liberal cause, but it seems strange to me to assign left or right lean to something as seemingly by-the-book as the ABA without sourcing it somehow.
