It’s a very solid “everyday” single malt. (If you’re enough of a lush to drink scotch every day.)

HA! My college roommate's grandmother enjoyed a little Scotch before bedtime every night, and she lived to 90-something.
-
That’s all the affirmation I needed to buy a fresh bottle on my way home tonight. I thank you, sir.

It's fine. I wouldn't turn one down, but it's not an "I'm pleading guilty in federal court tomorrow" scotch either. A single large cube of ice, neat or just a splash of water is preferable to multiple small cubes.
-
What is your "I'm pleading guilty in federal court tommorow" scotch?
-
That's truly an excellent question. Of the ones I've tasted on a regular basis, I'd say Glenlivet Archive 21 Year. The second option would be Johnnie Walker Blue.

It's the Stella of Scotch. Drinkable, but hardly anything to get excited about.

@StevenJDuffield Glenlivet is eminently drinkable. And whatever one thinks about drinking single malt on the rocks, whisky is a product ever associated with the goal of thwarting the taxman; I shant quibble over ice when Mr Cohen's tastes are so broadly suitable to the occasion.Thanks. it's a nice, everyday scotch but the "on the rocks reference" is disturbing.

I believe his tastes have come to terms with a tighter budget.

My Scots son-in-law probably wouldn’t move two stools down the bar to get a free glass of Glenlivet 12.

Meh. Sorry to say, it's the bud light of scotch. If he had some
@BalvenieUS (14yr Caribbean cask) or 18 yr@TheGlenmorangie or go US and have some@BlantonsBourbon then I'd be impressed. Glenlivet has some good scotches but the 12 yr old isnt one of themThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

His drink and the way he chose to drink it says he's a snob more than an afficianado. The 12 year old is very enjoyable, but if he wanted something memorable because it's going to be a long time before he gets any more he should've gone for the 25 year old. And no ice!

It’s plenty of people’s everyday scotch of choice.

It’s good Scotch, but should NOT be consumed on the rocks (for same reasons as not putting ice in good wine).
