Respectfully, Amar is a troll—a smart one, but a troll nonetheless. His fame is the result of being that one liberal originalist who a bunch of right-wing extremists can point to, and his defenses of his judicial philosophy are weak and wouldn’t warrant such fame otherwise. 1/2

It may be a piece written by a liberal, but I am unsure the piece itself makes a liberal or progressive argument. Rather, it is focused primarily on a limited set of academic credentials (hardly the type of egalitarian approach I would consider liberal).
