Kethledge seems to check the most boxes. But who the hell knows?

An aside: Kethledge worked his way through college, right? So why is Hardiman being given so much attention for driving taxies (nonetheless I still respect his hard work to get through school) and Kethledge has gotten none?
-
I agree with you; I think it’s just a matter of degree. Hardiman was also first in his family to graduate from college (whereas Kethledge’s grandfather had two MIT degrees and dozens of patents to his name).

I really wish a Paul Clement was on the list. He would’ve been a home run and turns 53 in a week. Knocks off all conservative credentials, was Harvard (and Oxford!) grad, SCOTUS clerk and so much more. Water under the bridge I guess.
-
I agree. Was he a never-Trumper?
@KannonShanmugam should have made the list as well.

This is naive. You sound like the Chris Cilizza of legal journalism
-
I mean it depends on what you mean by "political considerations." It's most certainly a political consideration to pick someone who is sure to be an extreme right-wing ideologue (as everyone approved by FedSoc is), regardless of whether a short-term electoral effect is intended.
-
That’s fair; maybe “electoral” would have been the better word.
-
I know you’re smarter than cilizza, David. That’s why it upsets me to read important topics covered in that manner.
-
Thx for the clarification

Whoever the nominee is will enrage the Left & that is what will activate the Right.
