My ears cannot believe what I'm hearing on the BBC these days. The normalisation of fascism by our public service broadcaster. Why was Nick Griffin beyond the pale for so many years, but Raheem Kassan is not?

-
because the rest of us are adults with the ability to not have our heads explode when we hear opinions that differ from our own
-
The far right does not have simply 'a difference of opinion'. Back to Fascism 101 for you.
-
if you are to allow far left into mainsteam politics then you have to expect the far right to be involved too. normalising socialism and communism is a much more worrying trend
-
There is so much wrong with this comment that there isn't the space to point it all out. Socialism is not equivalent to fascism. Socialism has many iterations, including Scandinavian liberal socialism. Fascism has one expression: hatred, violence and murder.
-
But I suspect you know this, and either naively think the current expression of fascism (nice Mr Bannon) is different in kind, or you are an apologist. Either way, people who think like you are on the wrong side of history, as you were in the 1930s and always will be.
-
we allow far left in mainsteam why not far right? my point would be to allow neither but as we already have far left, the far right is inevitable
-
This is a false equivalence. If you think the 'far left' in resurgent in this country then you are naive. Corbyn is a classic sandal-wearing liberal 70s socialist (with whom I disagree on several fronts), not a hard-line commie. FFS. Stop drawing equivalances that don't exist!

These people are snakes and say all kinds of stuff to win over the biddable. TheBBC seems so unaware of this. Remember Oakeshott on QT the week after Banks revelations and she wasn’t even challenged? Serious low point
-
No they are aware - there are people at the BBC who know exactly what they are doing. This is why it’s so frightening.

You know David, it's something you don't want to believe about Auntie Beeb, a stalwart of veracity back in the day but now day after day folks get free rein to spout their agenda without challenge. I don't bother these days. Sad times, their strings are being pulled.

Plan to? He's already meeting with members of our governing party, meanwhile our national broadcaster is obsessed with what the opposition thinks about anti-Semitism while the GOVERNING PARTY gets right on with welcoming white nationalists to the table.

You can be sure if they did have a ‘Kennedy Democrat’ on they’d of had someone else on as balance
-
Or sneered at them contemptuously and cut across them.

Astonishing interview. I didn't realise who it was at first until his aggressive pro-far-right sympathies gained more traction in the face of innocuous interview questioning.
