As the descendant of slaves it’s hard to know when my ancestors were brought from Africa to the Carribean.The British gained Guyana from the Dutch in 1814. Agreed, but appreciate his responding like this. We’re so ignorant of the impacts of Britain’s colonial history and how that ties in both to the UK’s diaspora communities and conflicts/oppressive & corrupt regimes around the world.
