is dizzying. Far left says we Jews are capitalists. Far right says we’re anti-capitalists. Far left says we embody white privilege. Far right says we’re not white. Far left says Israel has no right to exist. Far right tells us to leave for Israel. Go figure.

For , deepening ties among Jews, Muslims, Arabs & Israelis began 30+ yrs ago, when few believed it possible. It’s never stopped. Indeed, it’s a top priority. Our work just took another big step forward this week. Stay tuned. More to come.

Malicious! Palestinians aren’t “excluded from Israeli Covid vaccine rollout.” -They rejected Covid cooperation w/ Israel -They’re in charge of own health care under Oslo Accords -They spurned UAE’s Covid aid -They’re awaiting millions of doses of Russian vaccine An apology?

Powerful. Poignant. Timely. A Holocaust survivor, Toby Levy, has written a must-read oped. “I lost my childhood, I never had my teenage years. And now, in my old age, this (Covid-19) is shortening my life by a year. I don’t have that many years left.”

Everyone I know in who’s 65+ has already received a COVID vaccine. Rollout there has been impressively smooth & well-organized. Couldn’t be prouder of trail-blazing Israel. Meanwhile, here in New York, it’s been a far cry till now from the Israeli experience. Why?

Even as we say good riddance to 2020, we shouldn’t forget one bright spot. With invaluable US 🇺🇸 help, peace took a big step forward in the Middle East. UAE 🇦🇪, Bahrain 🇧🇭, Sudan 🇸🇩, Morocco 🇲🇦 & Israel 🇮🇱 established ties & said “yes” to cooperation. Historic breakthroughs!

Chiune Sugihara, born in 1900, was a Japanese diplomat in Lithuania in WW2. Acting on his own — w/ help from his wife, Yukiko — he issued visas that saved literally 1000s of Jews fleeing Nazi Germany. He exemplified the best of humanity. Our gratitude should be eternal.

  13. Looking back at 2020, a HUGE thank you to health care workers & medical researchers. As a deadly virus took lives, spread fear, kept us home, separated families & wreaked economic havoc, they didn’t miss a beat. No, not even at risk to their own health. Humanity at its best!

  15. Bravo, Israel—world’s leader in rate of COVID vaccinating. Meanwhile, US proportional rate is less than 1/10 Israel’s! Why? And, unlike our Israeli family, we know zero about scheduling plans. What happened to US, which led in vaccine development, as a leader in vaccinating?

  17. I keep staring at Liesbeth, age 5. I just can’t begin to grasp how human beings could knowingly hurt, much less kill, a child. How anyone could engage in such barbarism & bestiality. How Nazi Germany could mobilize so many to participate in genocide. A warning for all time.

  18. Slippery slope of Nazi antisemitism: It began w/ grisly words, maniacal conspiracy theories. Then restrictive laws. Then genocide. 1.5 million Jewish kids murdered, incl. Liesbeth. Please don’t forget her face. And let’s never forget humankind’s capacity for such evil.

  21. Historical appropriation on steroids. Jesus was a Jew. I repeat, Jesus was a Jew. Trying to turn him into someone else to score political points offends faith traditions, borders on the grotesque. If anything, Jesus & his family would be called Israeli settlers by critics.
