Wherein @DavidFutrelle advocates deplatforming incels from online forums, following the ‘success’ of deplatforming the alt-right.
The ‘successful deplatforming’ narrative ignores material conditions predicating radicalisation - which haven’t changed.https://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/article-can-the-radicalization-of-incels-be-stopped/ …
Yes, getting Reddit to ban incel subreddits that are full of hateful shit is pretty much the first step in the enslavement of all dateless men.

I didn't say enslavement at all - I said criminalisation, proscription and survellance of. Surely a principle you will agree with but will also further erode civil liberties as history has shown. The old saying "the road to hell is filled with good intentions".
-
Dude, after we criminalize you we're definitely going to enslave you. And then make you wear funny costumes. You really don't understand how the slippery slope works, do you?
-
That's absurd. History has shown that when a group of individuals are identified as being radicalised, state intervention follows - which I would have thought you would agree with. Not enslavement, imprisonment.
-
Dude, if we enslave you we also have to imprison you so you won't run away. And we definitely don;t want you running away wearing the funny costumes because then we'll have to make new ones.
