A lot of politicians are grandstanding and giving away law enforcement money they were cool with taking yesterday. Are these lasting pledges to never take law enforcement cash or just an election season ploy 24 days before the primary?
I misinterpreted tweets by 2 politicians and so have seen 2 commit to give $ back. so ‘a lot’ isn’t the right word at the moment.
At same time, some of the most outspoken local electeds during #georgefloyd protests had for years accepted law enforcement money before scrutiny
It is en vogue for candidates to reject developer money and make a show of it. It seems like we are about to see that more and more with police and law enforcement union and PAC contributions, too
