They are shameless liars. A couple years ago, ICE arrested one of my colleague’s clients in the hallway outside his Queens courtroom after the prosecutor dismissed all charges in the interest of justice b/c of actual innocence. The client had no convictions.
The majority of these arrests happen OUTSIDE courthouses. And @ICEgov’s statement is BS because people arrested outside courthouses are not “criminals” — in many cases they have not been convicted of a crime and they aren’t in custody.
