To your point, the focus on just a few ideas is pretty bad. The graph from Matt Nisbet that I discuss at the bottom is emblematic. It's an approximate depiction of US Foundation Funding for climate. The tiny sliver in the bottom right is, effectively, "other approaches".pic.twitter.com/ZAP6pMW1bg

Depends how one counts 'approaches'. Arguably the light blue one at the bottom is a second approach. But yeah, very dangerous.
