This is a stunt. Caravan is weeks away, if that. May not even reach the border. And it's unlikely troops would be needed to "stop" this group. Mattis is acting as another Trump enabler.https://twitter.com/barbarastarrcnn/status/1055468479317528578 …

JUST IN!!! Mattis expected to send 800 more troops to southern border to help border officers in stopping migrant caravan. Troops on ground as soon as next week, with fencing material and other tech assistance. @CNNPolitics https://cnn.it/2PhCMHt

I thought Mattis was the only decent one left. It’s like a virus. They all get infected with it. I guess they were all predisposed to it. That’s why they were picked. #WeakMen

He doesnt have to stay in his post. He is what he is. He’s carrying out trumps ridiculous orders. A good man wouldn’t do that. They couldn’t. I think he ultimately likes the power and doesn’t mind it at all. After all trump relaxed rules of civilian deaths in war

The armed forces are far better off with Gen Matt than they will be by Putin's next pick.

As a former USMC daughter, I didn’t think of this. I’m thinking ‘General’ can’t refuse an order from Commander in Chief. He’s acting as Def sec not active duty. Duh.

What about the Posse Comitatus Act, which forbids using fed troops to enforce domestic laws on US soil. A Pres can deploy troops only if there's an insurrection or invasion on U.S. soil. NOT 2 stop refugees from legally applying 4 asylum.

And the media is acting as a Trumpian #Propaganda spreader. Guess what, if you don’t report or repeat anything he says about this non-story - it won’t be a story anymore, & people won’t be confused or believe false info. Stop reposting his lies for him 👉🏻https://www.wired.com/2017/02/dont-believe-lies-just-people-repeat/amp …
