By the way, this is a phony (and dumb) issue. There was no real need for a back channel to the FBI. Steele himself was sharing his memos with the FBI. (And, of course, the memos did not trigger the FBI's Russia investigation.)https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1052217314463100928 …

If I am not mistaken they were given to John McCain who brought them to the FBI.

You are mistaken. The Steele Memo was in the #FBI's hands for months before McCain shared a copy with Comey.

He shared some of what he was finding earlier but after the NYT article that there was no connection between trump-russia he was alarmed that they would write that and continued to compile the full dossier even after the election and shared it with McCain in or around Dec 2016.

Which actually bolsters Steele's credibility. The FBI wouldn't terminate someone who was just lying and being foolish.

How disingenuous can you be? Ohr kept funneling Steele info to the FBI *after* the bureau had cut Steele loose over his collusion with you guys.

Actually Steele was hired for leaking info to the press, then they used Ohr to get info from Steele as a back channel after the fact. That is the actual fact of the matter. I’m sure we will discover the primary author of the bogus dossier wasn’t Steele but Ohr himself.
