I read it yesterday, before seeing anyone else's take, and thought it was horrendous. You assured people that the odds of surviving a nuclear attack are "overwhelming" because such an attack would never affect "the suburbs and countryside." And I know you don't live in a city.

You literally said not to worry so much if there’s a nuclear war because it will only kill people in cities. That’s the whole message of your article.

Reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit.

Maybe you should take a step back and read your work? I don’t think their interpretation is really all that outlandish, given the words you wrote. It’s a pretty clear implication of what you said.

Do you even know anything about David French? Maybe you should do some research so you'll know why it's just preposterous to smear him that way.

When they say dumb things like this it just heightens one of the most common criticisms of the GOP: Democrats are the party of the inner city and the left and right coasts. Nothing more. Not something a national party should boast about.
