    What Ken said. Law school teaches an extraordinary over-reliance on hypotheticals in argument. How do you know you're debating a law student? They won't address the _actual thing you're talking about_ but instead want to focus on the killer hypo they made up five seconds ago.

    I'm not flattering, nor just arguing to argue: not necessarily. It would likely depend on the subject, and our respective knowledge and passion for it. Law school's contribution to argumentation ability is vastly overstated.
