I really want something like golang's struct tags for JSON, YAML and XML (de-)serialization in python. Specifically for getting stuff from an API and converting it into custom python objects without writing explicit code which just copies fields from a dict to an object.

I just can't find an elegant solution to this. And I don't want to ditch my existing code and rewrite everything in golang :(
