Can't the thinklight also be controlled via ACPI? - so anyone with local code exec can turn everything back on. Obviously you'd notice if you were physically present (unless the pulses are short enough?), but could certainly be used for covert listening from another room.

Obviously it wouldn't be as cool but I think I'd install a physical switch if I was genuinely concerned. (Or just leave everything permanently disconnected, lol)
