no, we add bugs when it comes to performance review, learn from Intel, even on the hardware level. We're so good at adding bugs, we use C to create memory bug, and then we automate bug generation by the use of "optimizing compilers" from so called "undefined behavior"

we are generating bugs at an industrial scale with manual memory, undefined behaviors and speculative execution. and we call that performance. you do things fast when you do them wrong
