Ever wondered what atmospheric circulation looks like under different planetary rotation rates? It's quite mesmerizing to watch these aqua-planet simulations spin up.

My 1st tweet: In this paper, we show that conclusions about recent trends in methane emissions are dependent on the assumptions on how long methane lasts in the atmosphere, because other species indirectly affect the methane loss rate/lifetime.

Interesting new paper in Journal of Climate on "Seasonal asymmetries in the lag between insolation and surface temperature" - ie differences in the lengths of spring and fall Also probably the first JCLI paper with an author affiliation listed as Netflix

A pre-print of the Ch. 1 of my thesis is on . I am proud of this contribution to the abyssal circulation problem, as it links bottom boundary layer theory to Munk's classic 1-D adv-diff theory. I learned a lot and hope you will too! 1/n

This is an important finding for predicting Arctic sea ice and the date of an "ice free" Arctic. Thanks to my superb co-author, Ed Blanchard Wrigglesworth and Flavio (), who provided some constructive feedback on this work over the summer!
