Last thing I found out last night: rendering my HUD icons costs me 20 freaking FPS on Unity Android. 20! For a bunch of rectangles!
@AlejandroDaJ Rendering HUD text in the JS framework I use completely kills frame rate too. None of us can win! Each LETTER is a draw call
